Music Industry Friends –

TL;DR: I am looking to staff some upcoming club shows, all positions. Gauging interest, seeking new people and interns as well.

You're getting this email because shows are opening back up, we've already had a sold-out show, and the nature of our regular "Box Office" shift has allowed us more opportunities to hire out per shift for a range of responsibilities from full-on Production Manager aka "Me" to box office/ticket scanning and also a budgeted opportunity to help us check Vaccination Cards/72-hour negative tests at the door.

What we are running into now is we have too many shows! A good problem to have! It's up to me to staff these shows. Certain shows have requirements that anyone on here could be trained to do or are already qualified to do. There are also 'easy shifts' for a couple of hours (1 hour before doors until everyone is all inside and comfortable). These would be pre-line check-in for Vaxx, guest list processing will call processing, scanning tickets from Ticketmaster & TicketWeb, etc.

Each venue, each show is different! The needs vary. For instance, there are days I will just work by myself because maybe ticket sales are not crazy or venue security takes care of some things for us. But I like to have fun, I like to laugh, and like to have friends around! Having an extra pair of hands is almost always better for me!

Seeking:
Production Manager - Needs to be in charge of box office, hospitality, chair setup, settlement, all the little details. If you've done this work with me in the past you know what it means! In the case that we are double-booked with two shows at different venues in one night (it will happen) we need to have both shows covered!

Production Associate - (Box Office / Hospitality) - Helps day of the show and with some advancing. Most shows this is needed, especially sold-out shows

Security / Box Office / Guest List - A straight-up box office shift, with maybe minimal chair setups and breakdown if needed. Also, this will be if we need to staff someone to check Vaxx Status / Health Check

Merch / Booksellers - Must have at least some experience. I usually ask for $75 or $100 or you can negotiate directly with the artist depending on their needs. Some venues are adding merch cuts post-pandemic that were not there before. Experience nice but everyone always has to work their 'first merch shift'.

Social Media - This is not a day of show-related role, but we could use help posting about shows regularly for a couple of extra bucks... or intern hour fulfillment! I've learned some things to implement to make things easy in 2021.

For all of these shows, willing to train. For security and box office folks, please spread the word for anyone looking for extra cash that might not be in the music industry or has the experience, this can be trained day of the show! Send me some suggestions for names of people that might want to do it if you know of anyone and you aren't interested. Someone that already works in a venue but has the night off is perfect! Someone need intern hours filled? I'm your guy (with pay)!
